After a two-and-a-half-year halt, work resumed with great enthusiasm, even though water usage remained prohibited for another year. Everyone was eager to get the detector operational and start collecting data. During this period, efforts focused on installing detector components that had been prepared off-site. The first step was setting up five clean rooms, including one at the Water Tank entrance, which provided tunnel access to the Sphere. Next came the challenging and delicate installation of the photomultipliers, followed by the assembly of the Inner Vessel. Finally, the system was filled with the required materials: the highly purified scintillator, the purified buffer liquid, and, at last, the ultrapure water in the Water Tank. By April 2007, we were ready to begin data collection.
