This contribution, compared to the large number of scientific studies that have dealt with the psychology of music in recent years, emphasises the transformative and evolutionary value that this practice represents for the individual and for humanity in its relationship with Time, offering the opportunity to master one’s body for expressive purposes, to heal one’s wounds and to mitigate one’s fragilities. Indeed, music can only take on therapeutic functions to the extent that it affects the quality and complexity of the interaction between the person, his or her inner life, body consciousness and the world. It can only be used for therapeutic purposes and to promote policies of social inclusion if one understands that it is a symbolic code, embodied and representative of the forms of relationships between people, between people and nature, starting with emotional states, profiles of affectivity and the most authentic cognitions of personal life and that of the world around them in motion. The two fundamental ways to guarantee the profound communicativeness of the therapeutic musical message are the creation of flow experiences and the mastery of time in the extemporaneous construction of structured and meaningful sound–musical intersubjective relationships.

摘要
