The double-V diagram for testers provides a starting point for discussion of the technical challenges associated with verification when autonomy is introduced into the system. This diagram illustrates many different ways in which autonomy violates the underlying assumptions behind the diagram and existing tools. These assumption violations are aggregated into a list of underlying conceptual technical challenges. Each chapter in this book is mapped to the conceptual technical challenges it addresses.
