The Evolution of Small Surgical Teams and Austere Resuscitative Surgical Care (ARSC) in the US Military
摘要
Before the term Austere Resuscitative Surgical Care (ARSC) was formally defined, US military medical personnel have been providing ARSC capabilities in support of forward military operations since the Revolutionary War. This chapter describes the evolution of ARSC capabilities in the US Army, US Navy, US Marine Corps, and the US Air Force from the Revolutionary War through the Global War on Terror, and discusses how these forward surgical teams may be utilized during future Large Scale Combat Operations.
