Complex Study of Sand Production and Fracture Processes in Gas-Condensate Reservoir Using Geomechanical and Digital Techniques
摘要
The paper describes the results of comprehensive studies of sand production and fracture processes of reservoir rocks from the Severo-Kamenomysskoye gas condensate field. Experimental studies have been carried out to study the processes of sand production from core specimens under increasing compressive loads on a true triaxial loading unit in order to determine the conditions for the initiation of sand seepage, its intensity and register the volume of sand produced. Dependences of the extracted sand mass on the change of compressive stresses were obtained, and the conditions for the initiation of sand production and hole wall fracture in the specimens were determined. X-ray computed microtomography of fracture products was carried out for quantitative and qualitative analysis of the characteristic sizes of the particles carried out during sanding. On the basis of digital granulometric analysis of sand there were made conclusions about the fractional composition of fracture products. The conducted complex studies are one of the stages to create a multidisciplinary approach to determining the parameters of safe operation of gas wells in fields with low cemented reservoirs and reducing the risks of sand blowouts. The results of these studies allow to predict the nature of bottomhole zone fracture and draw conclusions about the optimal characteristics of downhole equipment. Proper selection of equipment will reduce the risks of negative processes in the vicinity of the well, as well as improve the quality of the extracted raw gas and reduce the cost of its refining.
