Agriculture is the backbone of any country for its economic growth. Agriculture doesn’t mean growing crops and feeding the people. If we want to discuss a proper agricultural system, then we must opt for sustainable agriculture, which means growing crops in a way that will not harm the soil and environment. Also, crops can be grown continuously for future generations. Sustainable agriculture also states that crops can be grown in a better-managed way to produce less harm and maximum yield. Moreover, due to climate change, some regions are affected by dry or drought-hit conditions. So, a better-planned agriculture system needs to be done where we can use some agriculture-related sensors and predict the risk in advance. Sensors such as EC-5, EC-TE, Hydro Probe II, Wifi POGO, Echo20, etc., can be used to detect soil moisture, salinity, temperature, humidity, and water content. Similarly, some sensors are used for estimation and intensity of rainfall, such as Rainbird RSD-CEx, tipping bucket type rain gauge, 237-L sensor, etc. Some sensors are used for plant parameters. These include canopy sensor, LoRaWan, WSN, PAM-imaging sensor, LT-2M, etc., which can be used to analyze water stress factor, crop yield, growth, leaf wetness, Fv/Fm, chlorophyll, and photosynthesis. Some sensors are used for pesticide detection, such as GO/rGO biosensors, 237-L sensors. There are also some sensors that are helpful in monitoring various meteorological parameters, such as SHT71, SHT75, XFAM-115KPASR, MSO, HMP45C, and so on. These sensors can be proved to be a useful tool in the agriculture scenario where, even in extreme stress conditions, these work well by predicting earlier.
