Analyzing Sustainable Practices Impacting Project (Maintenance) Success in Power Generation in the GCC Countries
摘要
The Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries have been adopting stringent measures to keep power plants running longer and better. Some of the sustainable actions adopted are making the best use of water, using nature-friendly materials, smart energy systems, and constructing green buildings. Success comes from tech improvements, money investment, rules in place, and thinking about how to be green. This investigation adopted exploratory and descriptive methods that depend on interpretivist research philosophy and inductive approach. For this purpose, interviews were carried out with 10 individuals along with thematic analysis. Findings revealed that project managers optimize resource use, minimize environmental impact, and ensure long-term viability when doing projects successfully. Another finding revealed that key practices include leveraging renewable energy sources, implementing energy-efficient technologies, optimizing water usage, and adhering to stringent waste management protocols.
