This study explores the intersection of artificial intelligence (AI) and human creativity by investigating how the perceived authorship of a musical piece influences its evaluation. Unlike previous studies that have focused on comparing the outputs of human and AI creators, this research delves into the perceptual aspects of AI-generated art. Through a carefully designed social experiment, we examined how participants rate the quality of music pieces without and with knowledge of their authorship. Our findings reveal a nuanced relationship between perceived authorship and aesthetic judgment, suggesting that while human biases can influence evaluations, the intrinsic qualities of a piece ultimately play a significant role. This research contributes to the growing body of work on AI and creativity by offering novel insights into the human perception of AI-generated art and the potential for human–AI collaboration in creative endeavours.

摘要
