The Nexus Between Renewable Energy and Industry 5.0: A Data-Driven Approach

This study investigates the relationship transition to green energy and Industry 5.0 across 135 countries from 2012 to 2020, finding a consistently negative association with coefficients ranging from − 0.08 to − 0.22 at the 1% significance level. The results suggest that higher investments in REC may detract from resources available for digital advancements, especially in regions with limited financial and technological capacity. The study highlights the importance of coordinated policy efforts to support both renewable energy and digital infrastructure development. These findings can inform policymakers in balancing sustainability and digital innovation to achieve integrated economic.
