There are several ways in which the conditions for peacebuilding through democratic political education can be cultivated by radically poised processions. The global journey of the larger-than-life Handspring puppet Little Amal is a moving symbol of forcibly displaced refugees. The 12-foot-tall Amal began her search for her mother near the Syria-Turkey border and proceeded to Europe and North America. We meet her on Dexter Avenue in Montgomery, Alabama on October 12, 2023, where she has joined students who are reenacting scenes from the U.S. civil rights movement with her. A second example of a radically poised procession is the photovoice project of the Malian university students and their mentees who live in internally displaced persons camps. While not a theatrical procession like Little Amal, the Malian Photovoice Project is in the process of presenting its stories with radical poise to prompt a series of community-based dialogues for everyday peacebuilding amidst political violence in Mali.

摘要
