This chapter turns from the identification and coordination of emotions and virtues capable of limiting, tamping down, and countering negative political emotions to the constitution of a mix of positive political emotions and virtues that can cultivate more fertile ground for everyday peacebuilding. The goal is to understand how the political emotions and virtues of political respect, humility, and protest can constitute the process of everyday peacebuilding through democratic political education to further expand radical poise in practice, without relying heavily upon emotions and virtues of compassion and empathy or individual moral virtues of love, forgiveness, and generosity.

摘要

This chapter turns from the identification and coordination of emotions and virtues capable of limiting, tamping down, and countering negative political emotions to the constitution of a mix of positive political emotions and virtues that can cultivate more fertile ground for everyday peacebuilding. The goal is to understand how the political emotions and virtues of political respect, humility, and protest can constitute the process of everyday peacebuilding through democratic political education to further expand radical poise in practice, without relying heavily upon emotions and virtues of compassion and empathy or individual moral virtues of love, forgiveness, and generosity.
