Optimal Design of Fuzzy Controllers with the Cuckoo Search Algorithm
摘要
In this article, we detail the optimization design of a fuzzy controller for the cruise control system using the Cuckoo Search algorithm (CS) with the objective of dynamically optimizing the membership functions, therefore, our contribution is in the dynamic search of the optimal vector that contains these values. In this way, helping to improve the membership functions of the fuzzy controller, tests were carried out with a Mamdani-type inference model that produces a fuzzy set as output and also a Sugeno-type inference model that the output produces numerical values. Both models are used, in expert systems and fuzzy control when it is necessary to manage uncertainty in the input data, therefore these models were considered in our case study. The simulation results indicate that our proposal is better than the proportional-integral-derivative (PID) controller, and of the two proposals we present, the Mamdani type controller shows better results.
