This paper outlines an approach for modeling the decision-process of selecting a tourist hotel utilizing type-3 fuzzy logic (T3FL). The main idea of the approach is representing the uncertainty in the decision-making process with T3FL, which in theory should surpass type-2 and type-1 in this task. The type-3 fuzzy model consists of fuzzy rules that contain expert knowledge in the decision-making process, while type-3 membership functions represent the uncertainty of the linguistic concepts involved in obtaining a decision. The type-3 fuzzy model was tested with an illustrative application to verify its correctness. In the future, we also plan to compare the results of type-3 with the type-2 and type-1 models to underline the advantages of the proposal.

摘要
