Metaheuristic-Based Route Planning for Efficient EV Charging Station Networks
摘要
This paper uses metaheuristic algorithms to present a route design for electric vehicle (EV) charging stations in Mexico. The growth of electric mobility poses significant challenges in the planning and optimization of charging infrastructure. In response, this article proposes a methodology based on metaheuristic algorithms, specifically iterated local search algorithms and the design methodology proposed by Ortiz-Aguilar et al., to optimize the location and distribution of charging stations, maximizing service coverage. A detailed case study is presented, utilizing geospatial data from stations across México to validate the effectiveness and feasibility of the proposal. The results show that heuristic approaches within an iterated local search algorithm offer competitive solutions in terms of service coverage, demonstrating their usefulness in planning EV charging infrastructure.
