In recent times, the demand for energy has risen significantly, and non-renewable sources alone are insufficient to meet this need. Solar energy is a renewable source that is gaining attention amongst researchers and the utility industry. There are three main types of solar modules: monocrystalline, polycrystalline and thin-film. This paper presents a comparison between the efficiency of the different types of solar modules by calculating their current–voltage characteristic (I-V) curves in different scenarios as well as making decisions based on intuitionistic fuzzy estimations.
