Actinic cheilitis (AC) is a precancerous lesion localized on the lower lip. Various forms of topical and surgical procedures have been proposed as therapeutic interventions. Cryosurgery appears to be an effective, simple method for the treatment of actinic cheilitis. It is used either as a monotherapy or in combination with other methods to treat AC.
