This chapter introduces our AI-Assisted Assessment Creation Framework, highlighting how AI technologies are transforming the design, creation, and delivery of educational assessments. The framework outlines three core strategies: autonomous AI generation, AI-human collaborative creation, and AI-powered enhancement and curation. Each approach leverages AI’s capabilities to streamline workflows, create personalized and adaptive assessments, and address challenges like scalability and equity in under-resourced environments. The chapter also explores the ethical implications of implementing AI in assessment design, including considerations around bias, privacy, and accessibility. Practical strategies for ensuring fairness, maintaining pedagogical alignment, and fostering collaboration between educators and AI systems are emphasized, equipping readers with actionable insights for integrating AI responsibly into assessment practices.
