Scalp and calvarial lesions are mostly detected incidentally on central nervous system imaging studies as the patients are usually asymptomatic. In most of those who show symptoms, a palpable mass or swelling is the first finding. Many diseases ranging from congenital lesions to malignant tumors can be the etiologic factor. In order to make a differential diagnosis, patient age, clinical history as well as radiological findings are important. Awareness for the radiological imaging features will help reach the diagnosis.
