Hypertrophic Scarring and Pressure Sores of the Scalp
摘要
Hypertrophic scars are a pathological phenomenon caused by excessive tissue repair and disordered extracellular matrix deposition after trauma, inflammation, surgery or burns and are related to genetic factors, systemic factors, local factors, and lifestyle factors. Hypertrophic scars on the scalp present with abnormal sensations such as pain and itching, as well as the appearance of scarring alopecia, and may be accompanied by sinus tract formation and repeated infections. For hypertrophic scars, prevention is the main focus, and early and effective wound closure is the best prevention method. Nonsurgical treatments include topical drugs, patches, local injection drugs, pressure therapy, and photoelectric therapy. Surgical treatment is not the first treatment of choice. Pressure ulcers are common chronic refractory wounds in clinical practice. Due to their high incidence and prevalence, prolonged treatment length, and high treatment costs, the prevention and treatment of pressure ulcers has always received widespread attention. Scalp pressure ulcers are common in patients who are bedridden for a long time. NPUAPs can be divided into four stages according to the degree of injury and depth of involvement: unstageable pressure injury and deep tissue pressure injury. In terms of prevention and treatment, attention should be given to nutrition, posture, early activities, contact surfaces, etc. Nonsurgical treatment includes clearing the wound, using the appropriate dressing changes, and the rational selection of dressings, growth factors, biophysical therapy, etc. for treatments. For pressure injuries with deep wounds and severe damage, surgical treatment is considered.
