The fauna of the subfamily Ctenopelmatinae Foerster, 1869, in the Middle East comprises 135 species in 49 genera, of which Euryproctus Holmgren, 1857; Lathrolestes Foerster, 1869; and Perilissus Foerster, 1855; each with nine recorded species are the most diverse genera. The subfamily has been recorded from five countries of the Middle East. Turkey with 92 recorded species has the most diverse ctenopelmatine fauna, followed by Iran (70 species in 30 genera), Israel-Palestine (13 species), Egypt (4 species), and Cyprus (2 species).
