This chapter explores feminist theories of love through the lens of Hannah Arendt’s philosophy, with a particular focus on the intertwining of love and letter writing. It focuses on the amorous correspondence between two female political activists, Emma Goldman and Rose Pesotta, demonstrating how love transcended personal and collective joy to become a political force. For both women, love served as a driving force behind their actions and a source of inspiration for their writing. They loved through their activism, and their activism was a manifestation of love in action.
