Corn is one of the most important basic cultures in Brazil, with a long history of cultivation and significant economic and social impact. The expansion of corn production in Brazil has been driven by the growing demand for food, rations and biofuels, both nationally and internationally. However, this growth also brought significant environmental challenges such as soil erosion, water pollution and biodiversity loss. Water scarcity and pollution are also major concerns in corn production. To reduce water use and pollution, farmers can adopt precision irrigation techniques and reduce the use of chemical fertilizers and pesticides. Biological agriculture is another sustainable practice that can help reduce the environmental impact of corn production. In this context, we have the following question: What are the future perspectives for ecological sustainability in corn production? To answer this research question, we conducted a bibliometric research to identify the studies being conducted in Brazil. The methodologies used are qualitative and quantitative with a bibliometry on the Google Academic platform. The research period was from 2019 to 2023. The keywords used were: “Agricultural Development”, “Ecological Sustainability”, “Corn Production”. Sixty documents were located. This study pointed out to the relevance of the theme sustainability today, especially with regard to agribusiness. Another international research is suggested to compare the studies of this research.
