Over 50% of India’s population comprises farmers although they contribute only 18% to the nation’s GDP. This arises from the intermediary costs linked to supply chain management in agriculture. Intermediaries often exploit farmers, leading to uncompetitive pricing and restricted economic growth. The lack of real-time shipment tracking leads to logistical inefficiencies and risks of quality deterioration, delays, and heightened transit expenses for merchants. This is a result of the inherent inefficiencies and lack of transparency in supply chain management. These inefficiencies lead to decreased trust in the supply chain, price volatility, and irregular access to high-quality wheat for customers. Therefore, it is imperative to address these concerns to enhance the sustainability and efficiency of the rice supply chain for all stakeholders. Blockchain technology can alleviate this issue by implementing secure and efficient supply chain management in agriculture. The implementation of the Proof-of-Stake (PoS) protocol in the proposed framework makes miner authentication unnecessary, hence improving the system’s efficiency. We have developed a smart contract using the Sepolia Testnet and Remix Ethereum, which is now available on the Ethereum infrastructure. The Metamask application features an intuitive interface for convenient wallet access, enabling effortless blockchain integration. This improves accountability and reduces fraud by allowing stakeholders to easily trace and verify products. This system’s price-oriented framework differs from existing systems. A website with an intuitive interface hosts the Python-developed initiative. The initiative has yielded positive results, such as improved energy efficiency and reduced transaction costs. It has exhibited increased transparency and reliability in agricultural deals. The main aim of this effort is to augment economic value in the agricultural sector and elevate farmers’ living standards by optimizing agrarian supply chains, thus enabling producers to assume a more substantial part of India’s economy.
