Text Modification Research in L2 Korean: A Scoping Review
摘要
This study aims to identify trends in research on text modification for domestic learners of Korean as a second language (L2) and to provide baseline data for future studies. Domestic learners are defined as those studying Korean within Korea, including Korean for academic purposes learners, marriage immigrants, and foreign workers. Using a scoping review methodology, this study systematically analyzes research conducted from 2005 to 2023. As interest in text modification grows with the increasing number of Korean language learners, understanding these research trends is essential for clarifying the research trajectory and proposing future research directions. The research question is structured using the PCC (Population, Concept, Context) framework, focusing on learners, text modification, and Korean language teaching institutions. By employing the scoping review methodology, this study effectively maps the field of text modification research in L2 Korean, based on the framework proposed by Arksey and O’Malley (International Journal of Social Research Methodology 8:19–32, 2005).
