The increasingly complex landscape of Cannabis education is undergoing transformative change, driven in large part by a rapid, international legalization of both Cannabis and cannabinoid-based pharmaceuticals. Across myriad and educationally diverse regions, intensifying public understanding of cannabinoid use—for both therapeutic and so-called recreational purposes—compels an increasing public thirst for instruction, historical knowledge and pharmacological expertise. This chapter explores the diverse and evolving educational perspectives surrounding Cannabis and the cannabinoids, highlighting the many challenges, opportunities, and potential future directions for a more effective societal education of cannabinoid pharmacology.
