摘要
In this chapter, we see the results of the interviews and surveys carried out for this project. While there were some similarities in the answers of Black Trump voters and Black Democrat voters, some glaring differences can account for the Black vote for Donald Trump. Namely, while Black Democrats clearly view their Black identity as their primary identity, Black Trump voters view their Christianity as their primary identity. Since the Republican Party is viewed as the party of Christianity, a Black vote for Donald Trump from a Black voter who prioritizes Christianity is no different from a Black vote for the Democrats from a Black voter who prioritizes their Blackness given that both sets of voters are voting for the party which they feel best represents their main priority.
