Partnerships and Collaboration for Climate Justice
摘要
This chapter examines the essential roles and responsibilities of various stakeholders, including NGOs, governments, and international bodies, in fostering partnerships and collaborations to advance climate justice, particularly within the Lake Chad Basin. It highlights the critical contributions of NGOs in grassroots engagement, capacity building, and advocacy, and underscores the pivotal role of governments in policy development, resource allocation, and regional cooperation. Additionally, it explores how international bodies provide financial support, technical assistance, research, and global advocacy to enhance climate resilience efforts. By presenting successful collaborative initiatives such as the Great Green Wall Initiative and the Lake Chad Basin Commission, the chapter illustrates the transformative potential of coordinated efforts. It concludes by outlining strategies for fostering equitable and effective partnerships, emphasising inclusivity, transparency, capacity building, knowledge sharing, and adaptive management approaches.
