In this book, we have delved deeply into the critical concept of decolonising climate justice within the context of the Lake Chad Basin. Our approach emphasises dismantling colonial legacies that have perpetuated environmental degradation and social inequalities. This involves recognising and addressing the historical and ongoing impacts of colonialism, which have marginalised indigenous communities and undermined their traditional knowledge and practices. By reclaiming and integrating indigenous perspectives into climate strategies, we can develop more effective and equitable solutions.
