With the aging population and the high incidence rate of chronic diseases, more and more people will require care that promotes comfort and quality of life. Objective: To analyse the impact of rehabilitation nursing care on symptom control in patients receiving palliative care. Methodology: A multiple case study of a quantitative nature. Convenience sample of 7 men with an average age of 68 years (SD = 4.9 years). Instruments: Barthel Index and the Integrated Palliative Care Outcomes Scale (IPOS). Results: In the analysis of the association between symptom control and independence in activities of daily living after the intervention, a negative correlation was found between the variables: rs = –0.986; n = 6; α = 0.01. Conclusion: Rehabilitation nursing care in palliative care suggests enhancing the measures implemented for symptom control, as well as empowering patients to participate in daily activities.
