Analysis to Identify Which Study Techniques Promote Reading Comprehension

Study techniques are resources and methods that optimize time and contribute to reading comprehension development and memorization. Phases go hand in hand with each reading process (pre-reading, reading, and post-reading). This article analyzes study techniques’ use, stages, advantages, and disadvantages, stabilizing as a pedagogical contribution to reading. This research was non-experimental and descriptive, where the ACL-6 test was applied. To determine the level of reading comprehension based on the four levels of comprehension inference, literal, critical, and reorganization of information, a questionnaire about the use of study techniques and the student’s perception. A technique can be applied alone or combined; however, habits and motivation play an important role.
