Healthcare 4.0 involves integrating robotics into settings where humans predominate. Developing human-centred robotics solutions that provide safe and dependable human–robot interaction toward human–robot symbiosis is one of the primary problems in such a setting. Even though there have been significant achievements, healthcare still faces problems like data blockage and threats to information privacy. Healthcare 4.0 emerged which sees common implementation of technologies such as Cyber-Physical Systems (CPS), IoT, and machine learning to transform the healthcare landscape from being reactive towards predictive care models. Green anticipates sophisticated robotics and artificial intelligence improving healthcare by reading emotions, providing compassionate care, empowering caregivers, minimizing mistakes, and enabling real-time health monitoring. This paper analyses the changing face of healthcare as it relates to robotics, including its origins and growth through different departments such as hospitals and rehabilitation settings, surgical procedures with related practices. It also shows the effect of teleoperation in enabling distance care. Finally, the paper concludes with a review of recent accomplishments in robotics demonstrating their significant potential to drive future healthcare delivery.
