This chapter delves into the fusion of NIST-approved Lattice-based Crystal Kyber Cryptography Key-Encapsulation Mechanisms (KEMs) with AES encryption, and Quantum Random Number Generation (QRNG) for initialization vectors (IVs). By incorporating NIST-approved lattice-based KEMs, the encryption process attains a higher level of security, meeting stringent standards for cryptographic protocols. The integration of QRNG for IV generation further fortifies security, ensuring the uniqueness and unpredictability of IVs. Encryption entails the amalgamation of symmetric AES encryption with lattice-based KEMs and QRNG-generated IVs, while asymmetric Kyber encryption facilitates secure key exchange. Decryption involves symmetric AES decryption using the shared secret key and IV, alongside asymmetric Kyber decryption for key retrieval. Security considerations encompass the robustness of the combined encryption schemes and the pivotal role of QRNG in reinforcing IV generation. This study underscores the significance of NIST-approved lattice-based cryptography and QRNG in fortifying data security in modern communication systems.
