Study of the Natural Vibrations of Homogeneous Orthotropic Waveguides Using Finite Element Method

The natural vibrations of homogeneous waveguides with cross-sections in the form of a height-limited trapezoid, triangle or rectangle are studied. The waveguide material is orthotropic. The finite element methodFinite element method (FEM) is used for calculation. The FlexPDE finite element software is applied for the study. The locking frequenciesLocking frequencies and vibration modes are obtained. The locking frequencies found by using the finite element methodFinite element method (FEM) are compared with similar resultsResult obtained by semi-analytical methods.
