Conclusion
摘要
This concluding chapter draws together some of the main themes of this book. As the case studies of Shaw’s involvement with specific regional ventures have shown, Shaw played a pivotal role in the development of the British regional repertory movement with his plays forming a major part of the repertoire of plays offered at these locations. With the involvement of influential theatre practitioners and performers, the reps in turn presented high-quality productions of Shaw’s plays, which incorporated some of Shaw’s more experimental aesthetic concerns and controversial political views.
