Due to developments in in-vehicle communication networks and diagnostic protocols, high-resolution driving data can be measured through the OBD II connector. These data can be important for validating vehicle models, analyzing driving profiles or even identifying driver types. In this paper our method for measuring driving data is presented. The advantages of the methodology are low cost, easy to adapt to other vehicles and can be used for continuously measurement. Our method was tested on a Mitsubishi i-Miev electric vehicle in urban traffic. 97% of the data was successfully extracted with a resolution of 0.2 s.

摘要

Due to developments in in-vehicle communication networks and diagnostic protocols, high-resolution driving data can be measured through the OBD II connector. These data can be important for validating vehicle models, analyzing driving profiles or even identifying driver types. In this paper our method for measuring driving data is presented. The advantages of the methodology are low cost, easy to adapt to other vehicles and can be used for continuously measurement. Our method was tested on a Mitsubishi i-Miev electric vehicle in urban traffic. 97% of the data was successfully extracted with a resolution of 0.2 s.
