The post-pandemic work environment has accelerated the adoption of various technologies to facilitate hybrid work arrangements drastically, which presents a potential source of technostress among employees. This cross-sectional research purposively and quantitatively evaluates the influence of the five technostress creators on employees’ psychological, emotional, and social well-being. Results shows that techno-insecurity, techno-overload, and techno-uncertainty account for a statistically significant proportion of the variance in both emotional and social well-being while a statistically significant proportion of the variance in social well-being is explained by techno-complexity. Techno-insecurity, techno-uncertainty, and techno-invasion account for a statistically significant proportion of the variance in workplace flourishing. The detrimental effects of technostress on well-being in digitised hybrid work settings and the importance of technostress inhibitors as strategies to address the impact of techno stressors are highlighted. Theoretical and practical implications are discussed for management to improve different areas of well-being in the new world of work.

摘要
