A 2020 study from the British Journal of Educational Technology by revealed that many emerging topics have gone against the grain of existing and conventional learning systems such as technology-enhanced classroom pedagogy, blended learning, online social communities, mobile-assisted language learning, game-based learning, and socialised e-learning. This chapter examines the role of digital pedagogical platforms and mobile ICTs in contemporary education, outlining their features.
