This research investigates the legal issues surrounding misleading online advertising, focusing on its effects on consumer rights. It assesses how existing laws tackle electronic advertising and evaluates their success in combating false and deceptive advertisements. Through an examination of pertinent regulations in both nations, the research identifies an urgent necessity for law updates and improved oversight to guarantee adequate consumer protection. Additionally, the study underscores the significance of refining dispute resolution processes and clarifying consumer rights, along with boosting awareness and training initiatives for businesses and consumers alike. Drawing from these insights, the research offers a series of recommendations aimed at enhancing the legal and procedural framework for addressing deceptive advertising, which includes revising legislation, fortifying oversight, and establishing dispute resolution systems, all contributing to a more secure and transparent e-commerce landscape.
