This chapter examines the influence of technological advancements on human social structures from an anthropological viewpoint. Over the past twenty years, the transition to digital systems has profoundly affected human communication, societal norms, and broader cultural frameworks. Consequently, anthropologists must critically analyze these transformations to contextualize how contemporary technological trends are reshaping everyday life and ultimately influencing societal changes in the long term. A qualitative research methodology with a descriptive design is employed in this study to conduct a thorough review of literature, case studies, and historical chapters related to the intersection of technology and social orders. Additionally, an analytical approach is utilized to evaluate the effects of technological innovations on social principles, including community dynamics, family ties, and the gendered division of labor across various societies. Findings reveal that technological changes have consistently and significantly impacted human social structures in both radical and contradictory manners, highlighting the intricate relationship between technology and social norms. This chapter calls for ongoing exploration into how emerging technologies will further affect social structures and cultural systems in the future.
