Blockchain's decentralized, secure, and transparent nature positions it as a game changer in space exploration and satellite communication. This paper explores blockchain's potential to enhance mission planning, logistics, and data management by providing secure, transparent platforms for tracking resources, schedules, and contracts, thereby reducing errors and delays. Smart contracts can automate data sharing and processing, improving operational efficiency. Additionally, blockchain can bolster interagency collaboration and address spectrum management issues in satellite communication. Despite its promise, challenges such as scalability, high energy consumption, and regulatory concerns remain. Solutions like sharding and energy-efficient consensus algorithms are proposed to address these issues, highlighting blockchain's transformative potential in these critical domains.
