This research evaluates the effectiveness of criminal safeguards for authors’ online copyright by examining the laws of various Arab and foreign nations. It concentrates on the manner in which these regulations tackle digital infringements and breaches of intellectual property rights, alongside the accountability of internet service providers for cybercrimes occurring on their platforms. Findings indicate that numerous legislations provide robust protection through harsh penalties, while the laws of certain countries enhance the fight against cybercrimes by regulating the responsibility of internet service providers, contingent upon proving actual knowledge of the infringement. The study advocates for the fortification of criminal laws to encompass all types of digital abuse, the standardization of accountability criteria on an international scale, and the enhancement of mechanisms for reporting illegal content to guarantee justice and effective copyright protection.
