Method and Device for the Evaluation of the Static and Dynamic Coefficients of Friction. Part 1: Proposed Method
摘要
A simple method for experimental estimation of the coefficient of static friction and coefficient of dynamic friction is proposed. A short review of dry friction models is first made to describe the chosen friction model which must express mathematically the variation of the friction force as function of relative velocity of the contacting bodies, requiring two coefficients of friction: static and dynamic. The principle of the method is based on the inclined plane technique. The designed test-rig is versatile and different pairs of materials could be tested.
