The Book of the Knight of La Tour Landry was compiled in the late fourteenth century by Geoffroy de la Tour Landry IV as a guide of conduct for his daughters. It became widely popular across northwestern Europe, offering moral tales and practical advice for women, drawing from biblical and nonbiblical stories as well as from the author’s personal experiences.
