Caterina Fieschi Adorno (1447–1510) was a noblewoman, mystic, and benefactress who lived in Genoa, in Northern Italy. Despite her family forcing her to marry a man, she ultimately devoted herself to charity in various hospitals. Caterina was beloved during her lifetime, and Pope Clemente XII declared her a saint in 1737. Her teachings survive in the Corpus catherinianum (1551), though modern scholarship attributes the authorship of the texts to her followers.
