This chapter traces journalism’s history, from its 19th-century ideals of public service and objectivity to its late-modern digital disruption. Through a critical review of the relevant scholarship, I argue for a praxeological approach to the study of journalistic change–one that centres on the journalists’ reflexive capacity.

摘要
