Nurses play an important role in clinical IBD research. This chapter provides a brief overview of concepts related to research in nursing, as well as some general advice on how to work evidence-based and carry out independent research. In addition to addressing ethical issues in research and in academic writing, the chapter also focuses on the use of artificial intelligence (AI) in research.
