This chapter considers the importance of reciprocal learning in the contemporary global problem situation, and the role of narrative inquiry in fostering it. It then considers the place of narrative theory in narrative inquiry, suggesting that explicit use of narrative structure within inquiries and exposition of structure in narrative case reports helps to capture and share the decisive elements of the case. This is shown through presentation of tightly structured summaries of two of the cases reported earlier in the book. The chapter closes with reflections on some limitations of narrative inquiry.
