The exponential growth of geospatial data has transformed human geography, presenting both new opportunities and significant computational challenges. This chapter explores how high-performance geospatial computing (HPGC) addresses these challenges by leveraging advanced computational resources to efficiently process and analyze large-scale geospatial datasets. HPGC enables complex simulations, real-time analytics, and intricate spatial modeling, expanding the capabilities of human geography research. Key technological advancements discussed include parallel processing, graphics processing units (GPU) integration, and cloud-based infrastructures.
