Many organisations in South Africa and globally have undergone change and transformation in their lifetimes. When organisations restructure and transform, many aspects must be considered, including organisational behaviour, stakeholder relations and the processes in place, thus demanding strategic organisational communication. The Durban University of Technology has made remarkable changes in its vision, embracing different stakeholders and processes to drive this vision, ENVISION2030. This chapter aims to examine how the institution’s Living Values Framework has guided the organisational behaviour of the management, employees and students. This chapter will focus on organisational behaviour as a concept, exploring the factors that influence it, particularly at the Durban University of Technology. The chapter aims to contribute towards the growing body of knowledge that examines the relationship between organisational change, communication and the behaviour of people within the bounds of organisations. The General Systems Theory underpins the discussion in the chapter, as the theory frames organisations as living systems that must adapt to rapid environmental demands.

摘要
