One of the directions for ensuring the balance of the national transport system, its effective integration into international transport networks and ensuring environmental norms of behavior is the transition to a model of sustainable development. The goal of sustainable development is to increase economic value while reducing the impact on the environment and improving the quality of human life. Sustainable logistics is becoming more and more relevant in the conditions of the transition from a linear economic model to a cyclical one. The purpose of the study is to substantiate the main provisions and develop practical recommendations for the implementation of the concept of sustainable development in logistics activities. In the course of the study, the place of individual goals of sustainable development in supply chains was substantiated, the contradictions that arise between the economic, ecological goals and tasks of the logistics system in the process of reorientation to the use of safe logistics technologies were identified, directions for the implementation of the principles of sustainable development by types of logistics activities were developed, the advantages of sustainable development were highlighted logistics, the expected complex ecological and economic effect from the implementation of the concept of sustainable development is determined. The results of the research can be used to clarify the goals and principles of sustainable development, change traditional approaches to managing logistics activities, and reorient the logistics system of enterprises to the use of environmentally safe logistics technologies.
